DAY 1: CATANIA,
Siracusa & Ragusa
l
Morning pick up from Catania and transfer from Catania to Ragusa.
A welcome to Sicily food experience like no other at Tenuta Cavasecca, an award-winning olive grove set within the Iblei Mountains. Then a scenic drive through the limestone valley to Ragusa Ibla & check into Hotel Antico Convento dei Cappuccini. A welcoming lunch with our relatives in the convent gardens.
Free time for an evening stroll through the town of Ragusa Ibla. An evening aperitif at a local sulumeria in the heart of this Baroque town or just a gentle stroll – a ‘passeggiata’ as the Italians call it – with a gelati and brioche in one hand and your camera in the other, capturing Ragusa Ibla’s majestic evening landscapes.
DAY 4: FERLA & Ortigia
B L
Morning drive through the Ibeli mountains to the little village of Ferla. This is my father-in-law’s village, a small enchanting, humble town filled with a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. This is an opportunity to meet and interact with the local villagers and exploring some of Ferla’s charm. A farewell to the east coast lunch with our family sampling some of their favourite traditional Sicilian recipes. This is always a wonderful occasion filled with lots of laughter!
An afternoon visit to Ortigia, Siracusa’s ancient city by the sea, where we will explore Ortigia’s colourful and enchanting streetscapes. Leisure time for shopping and to explore these picturesque streets.
DAY 7: CALATAFIMI & Palermo
B L
A morning visit into the village of Calatafimi, my parent’s birthplace. This is a picturesque hilltop town of great historical significance to Italy. It is here where Giuseppe Garibaldi unified the north with the south of Italy. We will wander through the village and share a relaxing lunch with my relatives in the piazza consisting of local food delicacies from the village prepared by my cousins.
Then we will make a stop at the ancient Doric Temple of Segesta. A majestic monument with rich cultural heritage. Our final stay will be in the capital city of Palermo, where we will check into Palazzo Natoli Boutique Hotel. You deserve to relax for the rest of the day or explore by foot this beautiful city set amongst Medieval and Norman Splendour.
Day 10: ciao!
Morning return transfers to Palermo airport and saying ciao to Sicily!
DAY 2: SIRACUSA & NOTO
B L D
A few culinary surprises are in store as we continue our journey through the limestone valleys of the province of Siracusa. Meeting some of Sicily’s finest food and wine artisans is on the agenda today.
An evening back in Ragusa Ibla where we will dine at one of Sicily’s up and coming MasterChefs, Giorgio Ruggeri’s restaurant ‘Mama Trattoria’. It’s charming, authentic and has a traditional, warm and inviting ambience.
DAY 5: SANTA CRISTINA GELA & SCOPELLO
B L
We venture west bound for the winery of Baglio di Pianetto to enjoy a casual wine and cheese tasting. This magical place is situated on the hills above Palermo in Santa Cristina Gela.
An opportunity to relax and indulge a little before we reach our next place of accommodation for rest and relaxation at the cliff perched Hotel Torre Bennistra in Scopello. Scopello consists of many cobblestoned paths that eventually lead to an ancient tuna fishing site right on the north-western coastline of Sicily.
Relax, you deserve it!
DAY 8: PALERMO MARKETS

I will lead you on a tour of one of Palermo’s charismatic food markets, il Ballaró, sampling street food and interacting with the food vendors.
